Blog Thrower was created at the end of July 2017, when I realized that my ideas were incompatible with keeping on working for Hardsounds.it, even though I had lots of fun there in the last five years.
The space are you browsing is a container of FREE thoughts on metal music. You can call them reviews, in a broad sense, but actually I’m saying so just for easier indexing on search engines . It’s more likely that the themes I’m going to deal with will be sacrificed virgins, inverted crosses and angry-as-fuck leviathans.
What I wrote about: Until February 2018 I received promo mail from which I chose to download – upon listening to some previews beforehand – ONLY the albums I hoped I would like. So, addressing to the bands that received (few) negative ratings: they are not intentional, I’ve always been in good faith and convinced you could do a bit more. If you like this explanation, fine. If you want to send lovely hatemail, instead, see the “Contact” section.
What I’m currently writing about: Whatever I want, mainly. I think I’m going to focus on interviews a lot, I’m quite fed up of reviews. It will be a blog in the real sense of the word and not a blog disguised as a webzine. Even though I don’t think I’ve ever come close to that, right?
Important: Blog Thrower is run by a single person (me) and I sign my articles with “[F]”. Mainly, I don’t have the time and desire to follow all the releases by all the labels, moreover I couldn’t even define the term “follow” properly: reviewing? advertising? bootlicking?
To bands: you can send me your material, I’m always happy to listen to new stuff, but please don’t ask for interviews if you intend to answer with the impetus of a brain-damaged raccoon.
Blog Thrower è nato nella fine di luglio del 2017 quando ho realizzato che era incompatibile con le mie idee continuare a scrivere per Hardsounds.it, in cui mi sono divertito un mondo negli ultimi cinque anni.
Quello che avete davanti è un contenitore di pensieri liberi sulla musica metal. In senso lato potrebbero essere definite recensioni, ma in realtà le ho chiamate così solo per una più facile indicizzazione e ricerca. È molto probabile che le tematiche trattate riguarderanno vergini sacrificate, croci rovesciate e leviatani incazzati.
Di cosa ho scritto. Fino alla metà di febbraio 2018 ho ricevuto mail promozionali da cui sceglievo di scaricare -previo ascolto di qualche anteprima- SOLO i dischi che speravo potessero piacermi. Quindi mi rivolgo ai gruppi che hanno avuto le (poche) valutazioni negative: non sono affatto cercate, ero in buona fede ed ero convinto che mi poteste dare qualcosa di più. Se questa spiegazione vi garba, bene. Se invece volete mandarmi amorosi messaggi di insulti basta consultare la sezione “Contatti”.
Di cosa scrivo. Principalmente di quello che mi va. Credo che punterò molto sulle interviste, delle recensioni ne ho le palle piene. Sarà sempre più un blog classicamente inteso e non un blog travestito da webzine. Sebbene non credo di essere mai stato vicino ad esserlo, no?
Importante: Blog Thrower è gestito solo da una persona, me, e mi firmo con [F] alla fine di ogni articoletto. Principalmente non ho tempo e voglia di stare dietro a tutte le uscite di tutte le etichette, tra l’altro non saprei neanche definire la locuzione “stare dietro”: recensire? sponsorizzare? leccare il culo?
Ai gruppi: potete mandarmi il vostro materiale, fa sempre piacere ascoltare roba nuova, ma astenetevi dal chiedermi interviste se avete intenzione di rispondere con la voglia di un procione cerebroleso.
